D-MAC Tanks & Construction Ltd is a construction company built on the strongest of foundations in the shape of its MD, Dave Mackenzie. Dave worked for the owner of a large Fife-based agri-business for 25 years, starting at the bottom and gaining a good practical knowledge base to work his way up from managing one farm to managing 5 farms/estates.
He moved on to managing diversification and development projects within the same company, ranging from holiday let properties, to house and steading renovation and development, building farm sheds and setting up and hosting driven shoots.
The next step was to take all this experience and skills into starting his own company, D-MAC Tanks & Construction Ltd, where he prides himself in being hands-on, with excellent attention to detail and always completing a tidy, professional job.
“Most customers have a good idea of what they want when they get in touch,” says Dave. “I can tailor plans to suit the individual and ensure the best approach for them and that’s where my years of experience pay off.”
Projects include erecting a new 55′ x 30′ shed and installing concrete panels on split levels for biomass boiler and woodchip store; erecting a 45′ x 25′ biodigesting tank, cutting an existing floor, removing concrete and spoil, installing 8 tons rebar cages, pouring concrete and setting bolts for an overhead crane.
“We get a lot of repeat business and word of mouth recommendations,” says Dave “Keeping customers happy is good for both of us.”
