Hodge Plant

From its depot in Nairn and head office in Hamilton, Hodge Plant has gained a reputation for supplying high quality new and second-hand agricultural equipment.
Despite now having a big presence across much of Scotland, Managing Director Alistair Hodge first started Hodge Plant back in 1986 with just one wheeled excavator.
“I was an engineer by trade and decided to give it a go,” said Alistair.
“I worked night and day to build the business and we now operate a Sales Division of Case Equipment, Rental Division, Quarry Division and Contract Crushing Division. We are also restructuring our Hire Division.
“For the last 15 years we’ve been predominantly machinery dealers, exporting and importing kit all over Europe. Our experience and knowledge of today’s challenging and demanding market, then the hire service we offer to you, is second to none.”
At Hodge Plant, the team prides themselves on the range, high quality and age of machines it offers. But also of equal importance is the invaluable experience, knowledge and skills of staff and operators.
The combination of high quality products and experienced staff has proved a winning formula for the company – and it’s great news for customers, too. The expert Hodge Plant team will have no problem helping you figure out the right agricultural machinery to suit your business.
Leading brands
As Hodge Plant works with leading agricultural machinery brands, they are confident that they’ll have an option to suit.
For example, since signing an agreement with SDF, Hodge Plant has become a full line Deutz-Fahr dealer. It offers sales, servicing and parts for the line’s full product range, from small hp groundcare tractors right up to high hp arable machines and combine harvesters.
Hodge Plant has also just become the main Herron Engineering dealer for the North and North East of Scotland.
Herron Engineering is well known in the UK, Ireland and overseas for producing market-leading trailers for the agricultural and construction industries, as well as manufacturing technologically advanced vacuum tankers and high quality slurry equipment.
Herron Engineering offers a vast range of options to suit individual needs and can deliver bespoke trailers and tankers, manufactured to customer specifications. Hodge Plant will help you figure out which option is right for you.
